The Government of Canada added a voice yesterday in calling for a peaceful solution regarding the ongoing communal riots started last week in Arakan state of Burma.
"We condemn the attacks and call on all sides to work toward a peaceful solution to this conflict," MP Lois Brow made the statement in the House of Commons on behalf of the Government of Canada." She further added, "We urge security forces to protect the rights and safety of all concerned and to facilitate access by humanitarian organizations wherever assistance is needed."
Canadian Friends of Burma (CFOB) shares the same concern expressed by the Government of Canada, and hopes all parties concerned would quickly find a solution to end the current communcal unrest and tension in Arakan state.
