Ottawa (Oct.5, 09) – Activist and supporters in Calgary launched a chapter of Canadian Friends of Burma (CFOB) during a screening of ‘Burma VJ’ at the Calgary International Film Festival on Oct.1, 2009.
“The Calgary chapter of CFOB was formed with approximately 45 new members signing up to participate as members. Members of the Mon and Karen community spoke with over 150 attendees at the Burma Documentary in Calgary,” said Shauna Jimenez, the organizer of the chapter.
