Humanitarian Assistance
CFOB belongs to a coaliton of Canadian NGOs, called the Canadian NGO Committee (CNC),
which administers a 5 year humanitarian assistance project from the Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA),for capacity building projects for Burmese refugees living in the border areas.
(Thailand, India, Bangladesh and China).Some of the projects include, health, education and training.
The members of the coalition are CFOB, Inter Pares, Rights and Democracy, Peacefund Canada
Primates World Relief and Development Fund and Canada Asia-Pacific Resource Network.
Absolutely, no funds for this project can be used in Canada, as stipulated by CIDA. CFOB and the other members of the coalition,
receive no funds from this project, except a small adminstration fee for administering each project.
